Kinerase SPF 15
The Science Behind Kinerase®
Scientists discover a chemical compound that protects leaves from drying and premature aging.
That compound is N6-furfuryladenine, which improves your skin's ability to retain moisture.
N6-fufuryladenine is incorporated into Kinerase. An independent study proves that in just 12 weeks of using Kinerase, skin was able to retain 15 percent more moisture.
After 24 weeks, Kinerase helped improve moisture retention by 25 percent. Furthermore, visible improvements in skin appearance were noted by study participants.
What does Kinerase® do?
Kinerase® helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also improves skin texture, diminishes the appearance of freckles and brown spots and lessens the look of blotchy, uneven-colored skin. At the same time, Kinerase provides exceptional moisturization for all skin types in a formulation that feels great on your skin and wears well under makeup.
Kinerase is extremely gentle. In fact, physicians recommend it for people with dry and sensitive skin, those with conditions such as rosacea and eczema, and those who cannot tolerate retinoids. Because of its gentle nature, Kinerase is also ideal for those who have undergone a cosmetic procedure such as laser resurfacing or microdermabrasion. If it's gentle enough for those kinds of skin, you can be sure that it's gentle enough for yours.
Kinerase leaves skin feeling moist and smooth.
Kinerase Improves Barrier Function* by as much as 25%
Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL) studies for Kinerase were conducted at the University of California, Irvine, following methods similar to those used in studies of 0.05% tretinoin cream. This is a noninvasive procedure using the ServoMed Evaporimeter.
*Barrier function refers to the skin's ability to retain moisture. This is the way the skin protects itself from becoming overly dry. As we age, the skin's ability to retain moisture naturally decreases. The test results detailed in the chart above show that after 12 weeks of Kinerase use, the skin was able to retain moisture by an additional 15%. After 24 weeks, Kinerase helped improve barrier function by 25%.
Kinerase is gentle enough for most people-even those with rosacea, eczema, and dermatitis.
Kinerase provides hydration with minimal irritation.
Irritation Is Minimal With Kinerase. Kinerase was tested against Cetaphil™. As you can see from the results below, more patients experienced irritation on the Cetaphil™ side than on the Kinerase side. Gentle, non-irritating moisturization is crucial after dermatological procedures such as microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels because the skin is especially sensitive. So if Kinerase is shown to be gentle enough after procedures such as these, you can trust it to be gentle enough for your skin.
Immediately following full-face microdermabrasion, patients (n = 30) were asked to rate the levels of irritation of Kinerase and Cetaphil™ after applying each product to one side of their face. Two patients experienced irritation on the Kinerase side compared with five on the Cetaphil™ side.
Kinerase is a registered trademark of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. Cetaphil™ is a trademark of Galderma Laboratories, L.P.
Kinerase can be used by those who are sensitive to or cannot tolerate retinoids.
Kinerase helps improve the appearance of fine wrinkles, rough skin, and hyperpigmentation.
